There were technical issues to overcome, not least of which was supporting the rear first floor corner of the building, once the ground floor corner was removed.

Given the age of the property it was decided to hand make matching hardwood sliding sash windows from our ‘Conservation Range’ using oak cills instead of stone.
A large hardwood lantern was used to give the bright and airy effect required. Five separate dimmer operated microspot light systems were built into the ceilings to achieve the desired choice of atmospheres
An old well in the foundation trench was an unexpected challenge taken in our stride
Pilkington ‘K’ toughened sealed units with Argon gas were used throughout to achieve the required ‘U’ values to pass Building Regulations.
