The existing kitchen and scullery were very cramped and it was decided to remove the two internal walls that formed the scullery, toilet and kitchen. The side wall would also need to be removed using steel beams to carry the first floor.

The old chimney would be re-shaped with the use of steels, to house a freestanding oven , whilst a new panoramic window would ensure a bright outlook over the garden.
